ooNR7. . Rats, went long this morning on VMW at 70.50, it went straight up to 71.2, and I put a stoploss order in at around 70.90 to protect profits. . Good thing I did since the thing freefell all the way to 68 bucks. Guess that is called "shaking out the weak hands", since the damn thing closed at 77 bucks today!. . Anything on the charts that would have told me to buy at 68 bucks today. . Almost did, but thought it was headed lower. .
By the way, check out the nice NR's on DNDN today. . After 11:30 a.m, the shorts were toast. .
be happy with the .40 you made on VMW. DNDN is a dead stock for me... no gap, no action, no unusual volume... just narrow range - oh, then a huge run.
VMW developed a cup & handle during lunch. Notice this pattern often with gappers. It tests your patience as it takes so long to develop, but when it happens, it's sweet!
good point, also gave a nice bullish hammer on the 10 minute chart around 12:00 p.m. I normally don't trade around lunchtime, since the volume can be piss poor. I have been told basically don't trade over lunchtime period.
