Frustrating day

I had to interrupt my trading between 11:45 and 12:15 or so and that really threw me off. Missed a nice setup in MFE. Entered NYX short and got chopped up. Not a good way to end the week but at least I have an excuse. All traders need a good excuse. Have a good weekend.

Hello 00nr.

Yes, interruptions are tough.I suppose it's more diffcult to get back on track with 3min charts.

Anyway i just wanted to ask you about MFE and what you saw as the entry. I've had a very good day, but am still kicking myself about missing the 8th candle on 15min.

Thanks

hey traderam. You know... I knew you were going to trade BHP and NYX. Although, I thought you'd enter BHP off a break of the 11:45 candle low.
As for MFE... off the 3-min chart I missed a nice b&b off a break of the 12:18 bar high. That was right about when I returned home. Off the :15, I should've entered on a break of the 11:30 bar high. Closed at 36 but I was thinking there might be resistance at 36:10. Plus, I don't think that candle had quite finished before I left.

Yep, That was pretty much my thinking on MFE as well.

Agree with you, BHP off the 11:45 candle was a better entry. My earlier one was a bit more agressive and higher risk, but I liked the chart. In fact I could well have gone short again on the 11:45 candle and increased my short position, as I did for NYX, but I didn't want to tempt fate too much :-)
