Wanted

Does anyone know of a way to automatically draw in intraday fib. lines in Quotetraker? For example, have fib. lines added to the first bar high to low.
I know it's not a feature currently available in Quotetracker but I wonder if there's a program that can do it. Or maybe there's some programmer out there that's willing to take on the task????

OONR7: I asked this question on my blog a year ago, but never got the answer I was hoping for. It's probably not that difficult though; I hope someone comes through for us.

yeah, I can't imagine it's that complicated... but this feature would save me so much time. I'm sending an email off to QT as well.

If you don't mind, please post QT's response. I want to know if it's possible too.

Thanks.

CD... I certainly will.

I asked one of the Medveds (creators of QT) and he said it wasn't in the pipeline for new features. Of course, this was a long time ago. OONR7, if anyone can make this happen, it's you; I'd love feature so, so damn much!

The SWC strike will end tomorrow. Watch out!

This is a nice article written by Eric Englund.

Cold fusion, which was once ridiculed, are now picking up more and more attention. Hundreds of scientists are researching it. It defies conventional logic but then the experimental result are none-deniable.

Why it's relevant? Because Cold Fusion must be done using the palladium metal, our metal of the 21st century. If Cold Fusion is successful, then palladium will become priceless!!!

And who is to say cold fusion is not real? A company called D2Fusion is going to release commercial products pretty soon. An average family will be able to use a cold fusion device to heat the house during winter. But it MUST consume palladium to make such a device.

Believe it or not!

Auto makers put tens of billions of dollars into a thing called hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. They spend the money and they used a technology which MUST USE palladium. Are they joking when they inject tens of billions of dollars?

So believe it or not! It's a palladium super bull!

SWC is the ONLY USA palladium producer, and operates the world's highest grade PGM mines. Incredible amount of money can be made in SWC if this palladium bull materializes.

Visit my blog and read discussions on palladium and SWC.

holy crap everyone... SWC is ripe for the picking right now!!!!

jason... if they don't have the feature in the works, I do have a plan. It will involve everyone who visits my site AND uses fibonacci lines.

OONR7 - I knew you were the chosen one and would have a plan to lead us to the promised land...or at least get automatic fibs. :)

If for any crazy reason you head over to TS. I'll share with you both the X style and the Oonr7 style.

SWC sure is ready to blow up.

I'm using AB (Amibroker) and QT together, which I use QT as data feed to AB. And then draw the FIB lines in AB is pretty easy. If you are interested, I can share the code with you (coded in AB). And I'm using ORH (ORL) to previous days' LOW (high), so you will need very little modification though.

I've created an EFS that does this in eSignal - a huge timesaver!

This piece of code and another one that automatically tells me what my position size should be are the only things that keeps me using eSignal.

dt... thanks for the offer but I can currently draw in the fib lines with QT but depending on the size of my watchlist... that could take anywhere from 10-20 minutes. It's just a tedious task that I feel can certainly be automated.

dave... I am going to look into esignal, what a great feature. No wonder you do well :)

eSignal is not cheap, but I think the flexibility they offer with EFS scripts is second to none.

As a former user of eSignal, I can say it's decent. However, I enjoy QT's flexibility and, most importantly, its independent windows. eSignal really sucks if you're using multiple monitors, since it's WIW (window in window)...in other words, all chart/data/watchlist windows must be contained within the "main" eSignal program window. I found it terribly cumbersome; WIW designs went out with the 1990's...I can't believe eSignal is still using such an archaic technique! However, I must say that eSignals manipulation of charts is totally awesome...would love to have that in QT.

In cybertrader the Fib lines are drawn in reverse--imagine having to reverse the 0% to 100% then they don't give the % right so you got to do another fib from 38%to 100% of the first and the extension of the second fib is the 38% blah blah blah blah --I just put numbers into my excel sheet much easier--gives you everything--much easier to see them on chart if you can draw them there but we are poor cybertrader customers whose CSR don't understand the concept of which way the fibs be drawn

gary... I feel for you. Do you rely on fibs. to trade? If so, do you think you might be better off with another charting program?

Jason,

I've been using Esiggy for years. Getting the windows out of the main window is easy, you just need to click off "float/dock".

Anyway, I'm not really in love with Esig but that's what my company uses. I used to love the old AT Financial but then it was bought by Thompson and now it sucks...
