No trades

Second straight day I was looking at CELG on a break of the 2nd bar and the 2nd straight day I passed. Although today I just didn't feel like there was a big volume surge to warrant my entry. Nothing else gave me a compelling reason to enter. So, while it was boring... I feel like I was fairly wise to stay out. Looking forward to next week.

TIBX was a decent setup that I watched but did not trade. I found it from the NASDAQ site's Pre-Market most active list. When Jamie is not posting the gaps I turn to this page to get a sense of what is really moving pre-market. My idea was to see if this top 10 list would present at least one decent setup every day so that way you did not have to do much prep and had a very manageable list to work off of but so far I have not kept track of the results to determine if this list consistently produces winners.

tom: yes, TIBX was nice... especially on the 5-min chart (10:45 bar). It was right below the 15-min ORH. I'm still wondering why I removed it... but it did make it on my list initially.

Tom,
Ive found Briefing's list helpful as recent mentions are: seed stv many chinese stocks, har, sndk, jaso, ldk blah-blah. Today's some : bidu znh ati rti crs usap tie stv nile(looks like a NR7 trade). Alost of those metals reversed bigtime. Also CNN, TI premkt. Have been doing a 5% gap scan too and today: mblx urre rog tbsi. I looked at tibx and said cheap stock=no movement and look what happened. You never know. Trader Mike also has the list,

NR7, How about a scan of >$1 for higher priced stocks, or big percentage moves?

bl: my IB scan typically includes big percentage moves. I think it only includes the top 40 or 50, but it's usually enough. I look for stocks that trade at least over 100k.
